Prepositions in an English tale (6.C)
The students used a short story to apply their understanding of prepositions.
These tiny words in the English language explain connections between individuals, objects, or ideas. During our lesson, we used a cloze sheet worksheet and a skeleton picture description-picture dictation exercise to practice these terms.
The students were then instructed to compose a story using 10 prepositions of various types and draw a picture of their choosing. The stories and descriptions the students came up with were beautifully creative, and they really liked knowing which English prepositions to use.
