SCIENCE CLIL: OUR SOLAR SYSTEM (3.C)
The Sun is a star. It's at the center of our Solar System. There are eight planets in the Solar System. The Earth is a planet. The Moon is a satellite.
In our CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) English conversation class, pupils study the names, properties, and positions of the planets in relation to the Sun. Such knowledge was acquired and emphasized.

Planet 1 is MERCURY. It is near the Sun.
Planet 2 is VENUS. It is a very hot planet.
Planet 3 is the EARTH. We live on the Earth.
Planet 4 is also MARS. It is the 'red planet'.
Planet 5 is JUPITER. It is a very big planet.
Planet 6 is SATURN. It has got beautiful rings.
Planet 7 is URANUS. It has got 27 moons.
Planet 8 is NEPTUNE. It has got 13 moons.
Surprisingly, the pupils shared with the class what they knew about the subject in real life. The class then worked together to create a solar system as a school project. It was exciting and fun!
